Ann Mather

Ann has almost 20 years' experience serving on the boards of some of the world’s most transformative technology companies. She has been on the board of Netflix since 2010 and was on the board of Alphabet (Google) from 2005 to 2023 and Airbnb from 2018 to 2021. She chairs the Board of Bumble. She has significant experience shepherding early stage companies to successful outcomes, including the sale of to Ebay in 2005, the sale of Zappos to Amazon in 2009, the sale of Ariat to the Fisher family in 2012, the sale of Shutterfly to Apollo in 2019, the sale of Glu to EA in 2021, and several years chairing the board of MGM prior to the announced acquisition by Amazon in 2021. IPOs launched during her board tenure include, Glu, Arista Networks, Airbnb, Bumble and Blend, and Planet announced a $2.8B SPAC deal in July 2021. Ann has also been an independent trustee to the Dodge & Cox Mutual Funds since 2011. Additionally, Ann serves as a strategic advisor guiding the development and growth strategies of various companies. 


Prior to her board work, Ann was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Pixar. Before that she held various executive positions at The Walt Disney Company. 


Ann was made an Honorary Fellow of Sidney Sussex College Cambridge in 2016, has been a member of the Strategic Advisory Group of Dame Karen Pierce, HM Ambassador to the USA since 2021, and is an angel investor.
